Hey everyone, sadly this is quite a short blog. First practice I was 12th but due to rain early on and parts of the track not drying up i was taking it pretty easy, there was two groups because the track is quite small. I had a few problems with suspension but we had them sussed for qualifying later on that day, sadly it rained again before qualifying and dried out but when we went out i had new slick tyres on and around the last few corners especially barn it was still soaking wet and i came in after a few laps saying i was comfortable with riding it and my mechanics just told me to blast it round the dry bits and take it easy round the last few corners and barn but after a couple of laps i went into barn and my front end tried to wash but then caught grip and my back wheel came round and after that i really dont remember but as i was told i was knocked onconcnious and hit the barrier, once the medical team got me to come round i was very ill and they were quite worried about spinal injuries and internal bleeding. Once they got me in the medical centre they cut my leathers and inner suit off me and i was then x-rayed and put in the air ambulance and sent to lincoln hospital to have a ct scan and an x-ray on my hand, thankfully all came back clear but i had a severe head trauma and was throwing up constantly and was on morphine so they kept me over night and discharged me the next evening but it meant i have a 14 day ban from being onconcious and well i have no leathers or helmet so i am majorly in need or sponsorship.I would like to thank my family for staying calm during the whole operation and keeping me sane. Also to the CJ riders fund because only for pam and clive jones the air ambulance wouldnt of been there for me aswell as the x-ray machine and i am very grateful to all the marshals and medical team that took great care of me during my accident. Now i am home and on the mend to pass the medical at CroftCheers,Nicole #69

Hey everyone,Well after a fantastic weekend at Snetterton I really was expecting results again, first practice we were just going with the flow because I hadnt been round the gp track on the 675 yet but when i went out the gearing was wrong and plenty of other things and i ended up 38th but i was happy with the track around the back i just needed to get the first sector right and i knew id be up there. First qualifying came and i was really hoping the rain would hold off and thankfully it did, i ended up 26th which left me sitting on the 7th row and i did a 1.33.6 which i was chuffed to bits with and after changing the gearing and suspension changes it made a big difference on the bike and i was confident to push. The next qualifying wasnt till Saturday so i was left to think the rest of friday, sadly just before the session started it rained and we changed to wets. I knew i had to go out incase it rained Sunday and up until then i hadnt had a wet session on the 675 at all and after a few laps i realised that it was pretty good and not much different to the 125 and i started to push more when i saw P1 on my pit board, well what a feeling i had and it was definitely something id never felt before so i kept pushing and through the whole session i was dicing for 1st. In the end it dried up and people started going out on slicks but my wets were knackered by then so i kept going and just enjoyed the session, i finished 5th in the end leaving me 26th on the grid. Race day came and warm-up went well enough so i was hoping for a good race, starting the race from the 7th row wasnt too bad i just needed to make up some places and i didnt loose any on the first couple of corners but i just couldnt seem to gain any as i lacked alot of speed down the straights and was having to ride that extra bit harder round the corners, i made a few places up and before i knew it we were well in the race and caught a few others due to a safety car coming out and the next thing i knew was going into druids and loosing the front and before i could even get up i heard someone crashing behind me and the next lap someone else went down all at the same corner. There was fluid on the track and there had been no oil flags placed out or any warnings at all so my front wheel just washed away and the race was red flagged due to the amount of crashes and the fluid on track. It was disappointing because the weekend started well but just went bad and i was looking for a result after Snett’s performance but i guess lady luck cant always be on my side, lets look foward to cadwell where i will be back up dicing and going for points.I would like to thank all my sponsors because without them i would not be there, Megabikes, Micky G, Daytona, Rock Oil, Western Catering, Hornee, P17 CRW, Gortrush food services, R Potts Haulage, De taunton Ltd. Without all your help and support I wouldnt be able to keep on track so i am very grateful. Also to my family and mechanics, who put a great amount of effort into the racing, thankyouCheers,Nicole #69

Hi everyone,Well what interesting weekend for me and my team, because there was only 49 entries they put us all out in one group so it meant there was no shoot out race so we had one chance to qualify and that was it. First practice i was 27th doing pretty impressive times, and out of 49 i was happy enough sitting there to be honest. Next was the first qualifying and i finished 29th doing a time of 1.11.8 and our next qualifying was cancelled due to a hole in the track at russels chicane so they kept the times from the first qualifying so i was starting from 29th and then someone couldn’t race so i was moved up a row starting from 28th. Start of the race came, and i didnt get a good start and ended up 32nd first couple of laps and i thought that was me but i was determined and pushed on. I ended up finishing 19th doing a time of 1.11.2 and a ideal time of a 1.11.0 so i was really chuffed to get such a great result, to qualify first of all as i hadnt qualified since brands round 1. After the weekend i got a phone call saying i had been awarded the merrit rider of the day award from my race result so i was awarded a free set of tyres.Overall it was a great weekend for me and i couldnt of done it without the help of all my family, Andy Stone and Andy Williams for providing a great bike and set-up all weekened for me. I couldnt of done it without their help, and to my sponsors who have put all their faith in me this year even when my results werent great they kept me going and for that im am very grateful for. Lets look foward to brands, and another weekend of good results as i will be qualifyingCheers, Nicole #69

Hi everyone,Well i wasnt racing but I had a once in a lifetime opportunity, I got to marshal in a recovery van during the whole race weekend. It was a great experience seeing it from that side of the track and to actually see what is involved in a daily routine for a marshal such as setting up the trackside, picking up bikes, getting equipment, ensuring riders have taxi bike back to the pits. I realised how much hard work is put into marshalling, and they all do it for the love of the sport and it was great to see that. Everyone was great and welcomed me into their lifestyle and made me feel like one of them, even though getting up at 5am and not finishing till 9pm was hard work i enjoyed it but deafinately glad of the rest afterwards.I would just like to thank all the marshals for making me feel welcome and showing me what its really like and how much effort they put into it all, it was an amazing experience and I would deafinatley do it againThanks Nicole #69

Hey everyone,Well if you were at Cadwell park for the weekend I’m guessing you probably got very burnt and saw some amazing racing through-out the whole weekend because everyone was on pace, practice i was sitting 15th-17th during the whole session doing 1.39’s which was two seconds off my quickest lap from a couple of weeks ago but sadly i crashed at the chicane and did some damage to my foot which made me go to hospital for a x-ray but i got the all clear and was back out riding this weekend, and doing my bucket of ice treatment due to the swelling coming back after riding. First qualifying i did a 1.37 leaving me 21st and i was happy that i got back down to a good-ish time from my crash and in the second qualifying up until a couple of laps to go i was stuck on a 37.0 and then i did a 1.36.6 leaving me 26th and in the shoot out race starting 18th and I got quite a good start until everyone got up to speed then i was dropped before the first corner leaving me last and having to push my hardest, in the end I finished 17th doing two good passes on the last lap and i did a 1.36.5 which was my quickest lap of the weekend so I was happy enough with that. Hopefully Knockhill will see me back in the main race fighting for a good resultCheers,Nicole #69

hey guys,Sorry this one is a bit late my memory must be going with my old age. Well this weekend I finally got a power commander put on my bike and we got it set-up friday morning, first practice came and i was in group B and I was basically learning the track trying to get the right lines and breaking markers, by the end of the session I was down in the twenties and was making some big changes to my suspension. My qualifying session went well but it wasn’t enough to get me in the main race so i started down on the 7th row in the shoot out race, and in the race I didn’t get my start well and was last going into the first corner but by the end of the race I had pulled myself up into 17th place and after the race we found a few problems which explained why my start was so bad, as a selector went in my gearbox and the teabag in the tank was blocked so very little fuel was getting through.I would just like to thank my sponsors because if i didn’t have them I would not be competing this year, megabikes.ie, taunten, Daytona, p17crw, western catering, gortrush foods, Micky G and lisa, Boyd, Ac Promotions, shoei, R Potts haulage and girlracerThanks,Nicole #69

Hey everyone,Well where do i start, from the word go it looked like thruxton was going to be eventful and it was. Because of the volcano we had to try and get a boat, we got the ferry from dublin to holyhead at four o’clock and by the time we got off the ferry and drove down to pick up the camper and bike, it was late already. We didnt actually get to thruxton till three in the morning on friday, so my parents got everything set up while they let me catch up on sleep before the first practice session. I knew i would struggle this weekend because we still hadnt got a powercommander on so the bike was down on speed, but during the practice session i felt comfortable with the bike and ended up finishing 15th doing a pretty good time and i knew where i needed to make up the time. We had our first qualifying on the same day and i got used to the track so quickly round there and i was feeling really good around the back section, i finished qualifying in 16th as i pushed myself a bit more, i knew i had to be up there and when i saw 21st on the pit board with a couple of minutes to go i knew i needed to pick the pace up. Second qualifying came and i went out with the same tyres with a new rear waiting for me in the pits, i was trying to push but i came in half way for the new tyre and when i went out the rear was everywhere, i couldnt understand it i knew it couldnt have went off already but i had to back off because i was nearly launching it out of the last corner every lap. When i came in at the end of qualifying we noticed i had an oil leak that was going back onto my boots, the bike and also the tyre which explains why it barely had any grip, it left me sitting 13th for the the shoot out race and knowing i had to be in the top ten to get into the race the pressure was on. Sadly i messed up my start wheeling twice as i set off leaving me near the back, and when the race was red flagged i thought yes a second chance but sadly this time the bike just didnt want to go off the line so i was near the back and my race was over. Sunday i was giving some help to feridaz during the busy times of the day then i watched the 600 stock race and the 125 race and packed up ready to go home. We drove back up to east mids and left on monday morning to get a ferry back home.Lets hope Oulton is a better weekend for me, fingers crossed guys

Well this year as you all know i’ve moved up into the 600 junior superstock championship this year and I am riding a 675 Truimph.
Brands was a four day meeting with one session a day, i went out in practice in group B as there was 68 entries in the for the meeting so their was two groups and the top 14 of each group would go through to the race then the rest would do a shoot out race the the top ten of the shoot out race would join the back of the grid. During practice i was just really getting to grips with the bike once again finding braking markers and lines. I felt pretty happy with the bike other than some major suspension changes to do and we got them made for the second qualifying session as after the first one i was in the mid twenty’s and sadly it rained and i had never rode the truimph in the wet so it was interesting. During the second qualifying we made some changes half way through the session and i was lying 21st up until i crossed the line and the flag was out for the end of the session and i popped up to 13th making it through to the race for monday. I did a time of 50.1 which was really good and i was just happy i qualified and i got to watch the shoot out race from paddock and not compete in it. Monday morning arrived and well practice went good we got a race set up and i was happy how the bike was handling, and when it came to the race well i thought this is great til i sat there and the grid was cleared, i took a look around me and thought jees look at them all their massive and im tiny this is gona be fun. Sadly because we had to make up weight on the bike for the rules and had ran out of lead we made the rest up in fuel and had to put 14 litres in leaving my start dreadful and i was last, even though i did my quickest time of a 49.8 on my own trying to catch the group i just couldnt get the gap back but thats just racing. Hopefully thruxton will be better, fingerscrossed i qualify.
I would like to thank my sponsors of 2010 without all their help i wouldn’t be racing, Megabikes.ie, daytona, Micky G, shoei, gortrush food supplies, western catering, hornee jeans and Boyd henden.
thanks Nicole #69

I’ve gota say this year started off a bit wrong with one dns and a dnf then low finishes but i changed it round, with the hard work from my family and mechanics and the dedication from myself i showed i still had it in me finishing in the top twenty mid way through the season and taking two seconds off my best time every meeting. In the end it ended up a good years racing and i really enjoyed it.
I would like to thank all my sponsors from 2009, for making it possible for me complete this years racing and finish 8th in the academy cup championship and regular top twenty finishes.
The sponsors i would like to thank are, Megabikes.ie, Boyd and Angie, splash in the pan, daytona boots, western catering, gortrush foods, shirleys bargain store, R Potts haulage, P & O ferries, Ngk plugs, AC promotions, Micky G and finally my mum and dad for being my biggest help this year, without this help i wouldn’t be able to race and i am very grateful for all the help and sponsorship i got during my 2009 racing season.
I would like to thank my mechanics gerry and my dad for making the bike the best its been in a long time, keep it up. My mum and Boyd for doing my pitboard throughout the year and the odd help from michael rutter. All the marshals for taking good care of me and the bike when i threw it up the road, and also the medical team for taking care of me at croft. Fred Clarke and Larry Carter for any mencions i got during the year.
Last of all all my fans that supported me throughout the year, buying calenders and stickers or being a brolly for a weekened, it was very much appreciated and hopefully i will see you again next year.
All sponsorship or help will be taken gladly for next year, as it all helps and i want to compete in the 2010 british 125 championship and push for top ten in the championship. If you would like to help please contact me by email or at the n.e.c bike show where i will be selling calenders and stickers all week.
Thanks Nicole #26

Hey everyone,Hope you all enjoyed the lovely weather we had this weekend watching some good old racing. Thankfully i passed medical on friday morning so i was able to race this weekend, first practice i was running around 21st doing times of 1.40’s which wasn’t too far off my quickest times from back in 2006 and coming back from the crash i didnt think i would be on the pace so quick. Second practice i got down to high 1.39’s and everything with the bike was going pretty well so i was hoping for some nice weather and two good qualifyings. First qualifying i did a 1.38 leaving me 21st on the grid so far and after the second qualifying i did a time of 1.37.8 although i dropped down to 27th on the grid leaving me on row seven and having alot of work to do. Race day came and in warm up i got my bag of goodies from the marshals at becketts to bring back to pitlane, i got a pretty good start in the race and came round in 23rd and after pushing through a few people and a few incidents happening i found myself in 16th with my team mate ben barrett close behind pushing me all the way and in the end we were swapping back and forth and he took me with a few corners to go on the last lap and took 16th with me sitting in 17th and 5th in the academy cup which was my best finish in the cup so far this year leaving me 10th in the championship.I would like to thank all my sponsors for ensuring it was possible for me to compete this weekened, Michael Rutter for doing my pit board during the race. My mum and dad for everything they did. Lets look foward to Oulton parkNicole #26
